Carbon office is an interdisciplinary design office practicing a variation of work involving the built environment, including architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and planning, real estate development, and sustainability consulting. We specialize in designing the performance of building and environmental systems that are responsive to technological, social, ecological, and economic challenges.

Travis Crabtree

Travis Crabtree received his Master of Urban Design degree from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University. In 2015, Travis was awarded an American Society of Landscape Architecture Honor Award for his design-build project at the Starkville Public Library in Mississippi. Today he works as a principal at Carbon Office and as a part time research associate at the University of Michigan.

Salam Rida

Salam Rida completed her Master of Architecture degree at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Michigan in Sociology and Urban Studies. She has taught at the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Instructor in Sustainable Systems. Most recently she was awarded the Marian Sarah Parker Memorial Award, an endowment made annually to an outstanding woman in engineering and architecture.
